I can't see the database 'mysql' with root - just 'information_schema'

Hi,

I've got an issue with my server MySQL...
With my console, when I connect to the server, with root user, I can't see 'mysql' database with this command : show databases;.

I can only view 'information_schema' dictionnary....
I use my server for ocs inventory, but with the ocs user I have only access to the ocs inventory database (osweb) & the dictionnary. Not the 'mysql' database..

How can I get back the mysql database....?

Many thanks,
