I have two mysql databases on my host server with phpadmin available to manage these. The original database had some faults in some of the features and amount of data has already been installed - after much searching and frustration trying to resolve the problems the host server engineers installed another (later) copy of the same database. The features appear to work correctly - great progress.

Now I would like to transfer the already installed data to the "new" database. I can get access to list of tables but the copy does not seem to work although the screen says that the copy is completed. the procedure used is as follows:-

Having arrived at phpadmin with the list of tables on the LHS and the original DB selected - clicking onto a table icon gives various choices. I chose to copy, selected the database to copy to and input the table name, chose to copy data only (because the structure should be the same in both databases). Clicked GO.

After a few seconds the screen refreshed - in the heading it said the data had been copied to the new database. However, the stats of the new DB did not confirm this and upon checking the website the changes had not occurred.

Can anyone advise on something I have done wrong or missed in the procedure?

Assistance would be very welcome before I resort to inputting the data manually again.

Thank you
