Most records suddenly one-hour earlier

We have maintained a calendar for the last five years using a home-brewed PHP/mySQL system. It has not had any problems until last week, when nearly all of the events' records were bumped back an hour. The change affects the two different fields that provide starting and ending times. The relatively few that aren't changed make it even weirder, since their modification dates (the first date/time field) in each record show them to be nestled right in between ones that are an hour off (i.e. they show a clear sequence of when the records were input). Has anyone seen or heard of anything like this? (So far, we've found no evidence of foul play -- but we can't rule it out.) We're stumped.

Eric
