PHPMYADMIN - #2003 Cannot log in to the MySQL server

Hi Everyone,

I have set up 2 servers, a MySQL Server and an IIS server. I can log in to the MySQL server locally on the machine and have created a database - so I know that MySql is working ok. However, I have installed Phpmyadmin (3.3.5.1) and have set the config file to connect to my mysql server - however I whenever I try to log in to phpmyadmin I just get a "#2003 Cannot log in to the MySQL server" error.

I am running Windows 2008 on both servers - and have checked that the firewalls are off. I have tried to telnet from IIS server to DB server, and although I get a connection, it gets dropped soon afterwards.

Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks
Matt
