Serious chronic 127 error with 4.0.18

I'm running 4.0.18 on Fedora. We have a few tables that continually cause troubles. Our application inserts 10s of thousands of records per day, and deletes the same amount. It is with the DELETE and MYSQLDUMP that we have problems. They always fails on one of two tables. I have run REPAIR and MYSQLCHECK on these tables. They both repair the tables just fine, but alas, when I delete or do a MYSQLDUMP, the corruption reappears.

I have tried for many days to solve this issue. I'm not a MySQL admin, so I've studied a large amount of material from books and the Internet. I don't want to consider any other database, please help if possible.

Thanks,
Scott
