Getting wrong client address

Hi.

Actually not sure what the subject is in this case, but heres the situ.

My client that I log into is 396XG1J_Cen. When I log in from this it believes that I am logging in from Leo_l3bpa. This machine existed some time ago but was removed from the network when the user left the company. I tried a laptop which is Leo_<something>? which connected as client edumar_<something>? Why is this happening, please?? I thought that the client name follows the Computer name given in System in Control Panel.

When I log into the server from the server it gets the client(server) name correct - hd2770j, and when I do 'show processlist' it lists my 396XG1J_Cen as Leo_l3bpa, but the server is correct in the list as hd2770j.

Cheers, Nick.
