Re: Table damaged? And if so how to fix?

I decided to just dump the database, drop the whole thing, and reload it from the dump. I dumped it, then dropped the same database on the test system, and reloaded it without incident from the dump. Also inspection of the dump does not reveal any obvious problems. So the data at least seem to be intact.

But then I tried to proceed with dropping the database on the production system. This did not work -- the command to drop the database, like the others, did not return.

The mysql logs do not report any problems. None of the other logs report any problems, as far as I can tell. The disk array is intact and there are no disk errors. Its weird.

I would really appreciate any suggestions as to how to fix this.

Thank you,

Matthew Fleming
