There is plenty of disk space and available memory on the machine, so its a process limit somewhere.
I put in a wait timeout of 120 seconds to reduce the number of connections that hang around in sleep. This is currently keeping the number of connections below the failure level.
The config is for max 800 connections, but I have never seen it above 300.
The error is errno 12 not errno 11.
