If the "user name" is "wp" and if you are connecting locally, then use the mysql commandline tool (or some UI) to see what you get for
SHOW GRANTS FOR "wp"@"localhost";

If that comes back with
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON ...
then that user already has Create_tmp_table_priv, etc.
If, instead, it says
GRANT SELECT, INSERT, ... ON ...
and is missing the CREATE TEMPORARY TABLES privilege, then edit that line to add CREATE TEMPORARY TABLES, and run it.
