skip-name-resolve

Hi,

I am currently running MySQL5 on Windows 2000 Advance Server. I noticed there was some connectivity issues when I tried to connect remotely. When I try to connect from the computer MySQL is hosted on, it connects to the server very quickly (through the mysql dos client), but when I try to remotely connect (i.e. from my Sun boxes, or my other Windows 2000 box), it would take quite a while to connect.

I fixed this delay by adding the "skip-name-resolve" to my.ini, however now I cannot connect using MySQL Administrator, Query Tool, or Migration Tool. I was wondering if anyone else encountered this issue and if anyone has any advice on how to fix it?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance!
