Thanks for your reply.
I did what you mentioned but this time in a VM with Windows 7. The statement get executed without error. The MySQL version is 5.7.32. But I compare both version's system variables and do not find any promising difference which I can believe is the reason for such a behavior.
Are there any open source/freeware tools that can help me diagnose this problem, like what part of SQL query is leading to that error.
With that said, I will appreciate if you can mention or point me to a link, that list general and useful tools/utilities a MySQL DBA and Developer should know about.
