Two approaches to this,

First, you need to run Explain (5.7) or Explain Analyze (8.0) on the slow queries and optimise their SQL and/or index use accordingly. If you get stuck with a query, post the Explain results here along with the query.

Second, for a 100 GB load, 8GB RAM may well be inadequate. To answer that question empirically, run the "Optimisation cheatsheet" described at https://www.artfulsoftware.com/infotree/mysqltips.php and follow the suggestions it makes; again if you get stuck, post those results here inside BBCode code tags.
