MyODBC 3.51.11 and MSDATASHAPE

I recently (yesterday) installed MyODBC 3.51.11 and quickly discovered that the MSDataShape provider no longer worked.
Went back to 3.51.06 and everyone is happy again.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a known "bug"?
If it's a bug, do we expect it to be fixed?
Please tell me it's not intentional :-(
