DATETIME problems

Hi cruel world:)

I managed to setup and run (!) my mysql server (4.1.9-nt) on WinXP-SP2 and installed the latest ODBC driver for MYSQL (3.51).
My frontend is MSAccess2000 (sorry for that)

My problem: If I create a table with a DATETIME column, and I link that table into MSAccess, it appears in Access as a 'Text' column, not as a 'DATETIME' column. I can't run my queries on date's. If I create the table/column in Access and I export the table to my mysql database, than the date column will be DATETIME, linking again into Access it's still Text.

Can anyone help me with this?

A fresh Newbie,

Leo
