Cannot link to view - MySQL 5.0.1 alpha Linux, Access XP client, ODBC 3.51

When I link tables from Access XP views are listed along with tables.
If I try to link to a view I get the following error message:

"The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object 'vwGenera'. Make sure the object exists
and that you spell its name and pathname correctly."

The user account that I am using to connect to the server has select rights on the view.

Has anybody else hit this problem or know of a workaround?

Server: MySQL 5.0.1 alpha Linux
Client: Access XP
Connector: MySQL ODBC 3.51
