have you checked if "myodbc5.dll" and "myodbc5S.dll" are present? I'm new to ODBC too, and I'm trying to install it on Debian Squeeze. The library "myodbc5S.so" is somehow missing from the install tarball. Maybe I am just too stupid, but I wonder if you could have a similar problem with Windows? Error 126 could mean "sorry the library is not present?" :-D
They will probably kill me since I put that in a bug (65054), but well... I tried to RTFM (read the f.... manual), but I did not find that library anywhere.
