Hi Les,
Did you find a resolution to this problem? I am still looking. There definitely seems to be an incompatibility between the MySQL5 database and the MyOLEDB Provider 3, unless I have missed something too.
I am actually trying to connect from VB.net so if you have any better connection ideas I would be grateful.
