Lost connection at midnight?

Hello,
a C# application makes a connection to a MySQL 5.5.13 server via MySQL ODBC 5.1 driver.
It seems that we loose a connection at midnight and we then get some problems.
At the MySQL server there are no errors in the .err file
I have googled but cannot find anything else.

Has someone an idea or heard about this issue?
