Hi Ethel,

Sorry to hear about your trouble with Connector/ODBC.
You need to install the Visual C++ 2013 redistributable package because MySQL ODBC Driver 5.3.8 is built using Visual C++ 2013 compiler and hence it requires the corresponding runtime libraries.
Please let me know if it helped to fix the problem.
