Hi Giri,

Do you have UnixODBC installed in your Ubuntu 16.10?
Please note that UnixODBC 2.3 is a required component for MySQL ODBC Driver 5.3.
Also, can you check the output for the following command:

ldd /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/odbc/libmyodbc5w.so
