Hi Alexander,

Maybe you have a different user connecting from MS Access?
Or it is using the same DSN?
Another thing to check is that the "%" wildcard for host names has the smallest priority. If there is another user that has a specific host name it will be used.
For instance:

if the client is connecting from "myhost" and the server has two users
`myuser`@`%` and `myuser`@`myhost` the connection will be done through `myuser`@`myhost`.
