MySQL stops on Windows 2003

We currently run a ASP.NET website on a Windows 2000 machine using a slightly old version of MySQL 4.0.18). It's been working fine for the past year.

Recently, we've bought a new box with Windows 2003 and MySQL is refusing to work. If one person is on the site, it works fine, but run any stress testing software, and MySQL stops working within 5 mins, we tried to deploy it it, incase the stress testing software was causing issues, but the same thing happened.

The only error information we get is "ERROR [HYT00] [MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver]Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10048)". We've trawled the web and can't find anything of use!

This is for every version we've tried, even 4.1, but we haven't tried 5.

We've got the latest MyODBC drivers, and version that is currently installed is 4.0.22.
