I have tested the MySQL ODBC 5.3.13 (both 32-bit and 64-bit) with the same result. The issue seems to be with mySQL 8 (i am using 8.0.17) itself responding to prepared statements.

I am using VBScript/ClassicASP and tested on the same page a Prepared Statement Select and a standard Select request and the Int. value on the prepared statement returned 0 whereas the standard select returned the expected value.

I enabled the General Query Log and ran the same two SELECT statements to check what query the server was receiving; they were identical.
