It is not clear to me what you mean by saying "it runs fine on the userside, but not on server side.".
I might try to make a few far-fetched assumptions:
It sounds like MS Access has a linked table, which was imported from MySQL. This table is now completely on the client side and managed by MS Access. It does not require ODBC or MySQL to work. If that is the case you need not to import data into MS Access, but create a linked table, which is managed through ODBC, but remains in MySQL.
If you are using MS Access just as a front-end and nothing else I would recommend using MySQL Workbench:
