Temporary tables problem after updating MyODBC

Help!
I run a Access 97 Application with a Linux based 4.0.21 Standard Server.
The application runs perfectly well with MyODBC 3.51.06.
Now I had to upgrade to the newest MyODBC 3.51.10 because the old one didn't work with my development server running MySQL 5.0.1 Alpha.
Since the upgrade there are lots of errors from my 4.0.21 Server because in MS Access 97 temporary tables are not found anymore while executing macros like "macro1: create temporary table" and "macro2: select from temporary table".
Is there any change in the handling of temporary tables in the new ODBY driver?
Anyone had the same problem?
Thanks in advance,
Markus!
