OK, that sure makes things more clear for me, thanks! But that brings me to the next question, since the problems isn't solved yet :-(

I monitored the site and the sleeping connections for a while and performed some stress tests to the site. Soon enough I found out that my MySql server or database accepts the first 100 connections, while connection #101 will get a 'Timeout Expired' error. This occurs despite the fact that I set the max_connections to 1000 !!

Does That Make Sense?
