I am using .Net connector 5.0.8 and get the error:
Exception Message:
Reading from the stream has failed.
Stack Trace:
at MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlStream.LoadPacket()
When our web application is unused for 8 hours, or less if we set the wait_timeout value in my.ini, we find that the first attempt to connect to the database fails, subsequent requests pass as if the first fail call initialises something enabling the later calls to connect.
One would have hoped they would have fixed this by now but 5 revisions later it is still around. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I will see if this is logged as a bug.
