What was promised and delivered was 1.0.1 (which is beta 2). It is now available from the Connector/net home at www.mysql.com.
There are many people who have downloaded 1.0.1 beta 2 and are using it. I'm not sure which mirrors you have tried to access or what may be causing the delay.
