MySql.Data Asynchronous Operations

Hello,

I was looking at the latest branch 8.0 Source Code to check to see if MySql.Data still wrapped synchronous operations with asynchronous wrappers. I see that is still the case.

Is there any plan to update the underlying calls to their asynchronous counterparts?
