Kris,

Can you tell if this timestamp is being retrieved using a prepared statement? What is the DDL of your table, can you post that as well as a mysqldump of the row in question (if you want to send it off-forum to me, that's fine to...use mark@mysql.com)

Without that information, it's basically just a lot of guesswork to see what might be wrong, and that's not very efficient :(
