Hi there,

I had a related question about the URL properties.
In the "bpsample-cdcatalog" application that comes as example with netbeans 4.1 are a few nifty custom tags that check for a database connection and recreate the database if necessary.

I want to do the same thing with MySql/mysql-connector-java-3.0.16-ga but the create property of the url doesn't seem to be supported;

The url for jindi-cloudscape is;
jdbc:rmi://localhost:1099/jdbc:cloudscape:CloudscapeDB;create=true

My url that works when the user first creates the database is
jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/ess

But I want to create the database/schema myself.

I tried
jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/ess;create=true
what gives the error that database "ess;create=true" doesn't exist

I tried
jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/ess?create=true
what gives the error that database "ess" doesn't exist

Is it possible to create a database with mysql-connector-java-3.0.16?
