Hi,

I am using MySql-4.1 and JConnector-3.0.16 to connect MySql thru java. I am running my program in a standalone machine. If my machine is in LAN, it is getting connected. If it is not, i am not able to connect mysql, since it is not haveing IP address. I tried with machine name, localhost and 127.0.0.1. It doesn't working.

I am trying it in both windows 2000 and Linux 9. In simple i want to connect MySql thru JConnector using machine name or localhost. MySql is running on a machine which doen't have any IP. Can anyone help me.

Regards,
senthil
