problems with ResultSet's methods

I RUN my aplication in a Tomcat Server 4.1 in localhost (my computer) and it seems to work good but when I upload my aplication to another server (no local) because in ResulSet the method .absolute(int row) it gets the number of row that we are working, but when I upload my aplicacion to the remote server this method doesn't work (the remote server is RESIN))
My aplication is a JSP that shows items from a database in MySQL
I hope someone could help me 'cause this is so important and i could help you back it'll be fine
