I mean that the bug only manifests itself with some combination of columns and table structures that are particular to your application.

Can you post a full stack trace? What does calling getMetaData().getDriverVersion() return when you're running your application? (I have a feeling you're not _really_ running 3.1.7 or 3.2.0 and that some other version of the JDBC driver is lurking around on your classpath).
