Ok, could somebody maybe tell me at least if they do not have this problem?
Another example,
select date(mydatecol) as mydate from mytable
JDBC metadata would say this is a string. This is really screwing everything up. Any hints would be much appreciated, if even just to say that you don't have that problem and this is unexpected.
