Shanth,

My guess is you're using InnoDB tables, _and_ your connection pool is calling commit() or rollback() on the connection. Since InnoDB uses REPEATABLE_READ semantics be default, connections that 'started work' before another transaction changes the table won't 'see' that data until commit() or rollback() is called.
