Mark,

Here is the hiberate query.

Hibernate: select company0_.oid as oid0_, company0_.last_updated_on as last2_13_0_, company0_.address_1 as address3_13_0_, company0_.address_2 as address4_13_0_, company0_.cid as cid13_0_, company0_.city as city13_0_, company0_.city_no as city7_13_0_, company0_.contact as contact13_0_, company0_.country as country13_0_, company0_.county_no as county10_13_0_, company0_.email as email13_0_, company0_.fax as fax13_0_, company0_.federal_tax_id as federal13_13_0_, company0_.is_demo as is14_13_0_, company0_.is_finance_company as is15_13_0_, company0_.logo as logo13_0_, company0_.name as name13_0_, company0_.phone as phone13_0_, company0_.phone_extension as phone19_13_0_, company0_.state as state13_0_, company0_.state_dealer_id as state21_13_0_, company0_.state_for_tax_laws as state22_13_0_, company0_.state_tax_lic_no as state23_13_0_, company0_.udid as udid13_0_, company0_.version as version13_0_, company0_.zip as zip13_0_, company0_.date_created as date27_13_0_, company0_.created_by as created28_13_0_, company0_.last_updated_by as last29_13_0_ from company company0_ where company0_.oid=?

Yes, the field in java is defined as boolean. But like I mentioned, the value for this field is "0", not null, so I am not sure why hibernate complains about null assigned to a primitive type.
