connecting to the database

hi,im a newbe using mysql and i have a doubt that i cant solve.
i have a program that connects to mysql using the mysql-3.1.8 driver,
and i have in my computer the mysql serevr installed.but i want to take
my program to others computers without having to install the server on them,
only taking my database files.
Is that possible? how can i do it?if this is not possible,can u tell me anyother
database server that allow me to do that?
