I have the same problem only my errors occur on my own laptop with just me connected. It has only started since moving to database and jdbc 8.0.11.
Extract from logs

The last packet successfully received from the server was 89 milliseconds ago. The last packet sent successfully to the server was 88 milliseconds ago.
2018-06-30 21:55:47,580 ERROR [AWT-EventQueue-0] com.commander4j.db.JDBModule - No operations allowed after connection closed.
