Last night I deleted and recreated the the entire catalog.
And the code worked like a breeze. absolutely no problems.
I still dont know what the problem was.
I had edited some rows uring query editor's graphical UI. Maybe because of that?
Anyways, its no longer a problem anymore (atleast right now).
