Now? Zero. It does not cache execution plans, only the parsing stage is cached server-side. Given enough available memory, you can have in the millions of active prepared statements per connection, however thousands is probably the real-world limit given how operating systems can allocate memory.

It is planned, I don't know a version # offhand where it's planned, but it's not going to be in 4.1 or 5.0 as far as I know.
