It was such a stupid thing after all....
jDeveloper is using by default v.1.3.1 of JDK, and although I had changed that setting after installing ver.1.4.1, the stupid thing kept using the previous version, that's why it could not find the driver.
The idea of checking this setting came to me after your suggestion of defining which version of JVM was used for the project. So, the problem was finally solved after changing the JVM version and everything is working as it should!
