I have the same problem with a different environment.

I use JBuilder X from Borland and MySQL 4.1.8 on a Windows XP Pro DELL machine.

When I start a DOS-window I don't know how to see what my CLASSPATH or any other needed variables are set to.

When open "My Computer"-Properties-Advanced-"Environment Variables" I don't have any of those mentioned in these postings. I can't find any way in JBuilder to view my environment either.

I have copied my "mysql-connector-java-3.0.16-ga-bin.jar" file to "C:\JBuilderX\jdk1.4\jre\lib\ext" (and to any other "ext" places I could find as well without any better result).

MySQL server is started as mysqld-nt.exe
