MaxDB and PHP install problems

Hi,

I've installed the latest MaxDB application, and SQLDBC:
maxdb-all-win-32bit-i386-7_6_00_37.exe
maxdb-sqldbc-win-32bit-i386-7_6_00_37.tgz

I can sucessfully administer the database using both the DBMGUI and SQLstudio, however I can't get Apache/PHP to talk to the database.

I have, obviously, installed the PHP DLLs to the PHP extension directory and added them to the php.ini file. I'm unable to invoke any of the functions (e.g. maxdb_init) but when checking the module status (e.g. in phpinfo) it says there is a problem loading that module.

The only thing I can think of is that my version of PHP (5.2.2) is not compatible with the PHP driver I have.

Has anyone encountered this problem before and/or have any suggestion how I might fix, or further isolate the error?

TIA
James
