dbgrid delphi 5 mysql 5.7

using mysql 5.7 with devart vcl dbgrid and delphi 5

the one thing I am missing, looking at the grid
and clicking on a row is how to get the row record id.

everything else is ok,
but I need the id of that record,
and I am missing the simple clue as to how to get it.
titles and columns are easy. record, not so much.
