Hi Bruno,

Sorry for this late reply, and my colleague Peeyush replied on StackOverflow as well.

As far as understand MySQL 4.1, and although it might work, we don't offically support it in Connector/Python v1.2. That said, if there obvious bug, we will try to fix it. But right now we haven't been able to reproduce.

It's good to open a bug report so we can track this on bugs.mysql.com.
