No, I still haven't resolved this. (I was onto another project for awhile). I was only able to get this far by hacking the Makefile to use 32-bit libraries. Not sure why it wouldn't work in 64bit since our box is a Solaris 10, 64 bit server and the 64bit libs are there.
Thus far, I've added library paths to -L in makefile, i've ensured it can definitely find libmysqlclient.so. I'm using gcc 3.4.6, and DBD:mysql v4.013.
