Re: Cannot find the file 'mysql_config'!
The development files, including mysql_config, are in the MySQL-devel-standard-xxxx.yyy.rpm package. The actual package name is somewhat obscurely listed on the MySQL downloads page as 'Headers and libraries':
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/4.1.html
Install this RPM and the error is immediately resolved, allowing DBD::mysql to install error-free.
