I'm confused by your message.
What do you mean by "activated each repository"?
What did you do to install the modules?

Anyway, here's what I have done:

1. Download and install ActivePerl from http://www.activestate.com/Products/ActivePerl/
2. Run C:\Perl\bin\ppm3.bat
3. In the ppm shell, type: "install DBD-mysql".
The ppm shell fetches that module and also its dependency DBI from an internet server and installs them.

Voila!
