Mysql running but not releasing data

Mysql 4.1.11 is succussfully running on XP Professional with Apache 2.0.53 and PHP 5.04.
The PHP coding is correct and the DB permsions are corrct. The PHP pages are offering the correct User information for the database. But nothing is happening when the PHP page is viewed. Not even an error appears.
I know the code is right because the pages were working prior to software upgrades. (Apache, PHP and MySQL) Checked all the manually installed files. They exist and are in their respective locations.
I'm at a loss here; if you have an idea, I'd love to hear it.
